It reminded me every last bit of home! The Ramen, curry, and gyoza taster spot on and since itΓ’β¬β’s actually ran by Japanese people, the flavor and atmosphere is authentic!

It would be impossible to get better ramen at this price. Rich and bursting with flavour. Well worth it and the staff is excellent.

My husband and I have been coming here since our dating days, now bringing our two kids. Fantastic ramen in midtown!

Seriously. I thought I was in Japan. I travel there a lot for the food, and the food at Menkui-Tei taste just like what I would expect from Tokyo. We ordered Katsu Don, Hakata, and Guy Don (cost $45 before tips!). Everything was authentic, high quality, delicious, and perfect. We were expecting mediocre food because of the prices, but took a chance based on the reviews. I am very glad I did.

One item tasted good, others ok. Great prices. Tried a gyudon, pork belly, and tofu for delivery. Gyudon was surprisingly better than expected, tasty and sizable portion. Pork belly tastef below average, wasnΓ’β¬β’t flavorful or fatty enough. Tofu was average tasting, could use more flavor.

Nothing fancy but consistently great ramen and curry rice at reasonable price!

Went to Menkui-Tei after shopping and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent. Ordered takowasabi, chicken Kara age, Miso Cod, Skewers, and Stamina ramen with small side of Niku Don. Everything was delicious and spot on. Don't know how we missed them before but we will be going back. The outside wasn't well lit so we thought it was closed from across the street. But so glad we got to try them. Recommend it for yakitori and izakaya style.

Went here on my most recent visit to the city with friends from college. We chose it on a total whim as we were looking for affordable Japanese, and this was the only place we could find with a table for 6 available. Needless to say, it was quite a pleasant surprise. The service was friendly, the atmosphere cozy and welcoming, and the Yakisoba was some of the best IΓ’β¬β’ve ever had at a fraction of most NYC prices. I will definitely be going back if IΓ’β¬β’m in the area again!
